Truck Tarping System Frequently Asked Questions
What is a tarping system?
Our standard U.S. Tarping System uses a pendant controlled 58' underhung bridge type hoist. The system covers uneven loads with no adverse affects as it lays the tarp over the load and does not drag the tarp the length of the trailer. It comes complete with UL listed electrical controls ready to connect to your 480-V 3-phase electrical power, drawing about 8 amps. We can supply a PEMB to house the system or retrofit into your existing warehouse. Our options include remote control, video training station, tarping tool, and the OSHA required yearly inspection certification. We also offer free-standing systems and bridges up to 70' long!
What is an electric truck tarping system used for?
An electric truck tarping system automates the process of covering loads on flatbed trailers, reducing the time and effort required. US Tarping Systems offers industry-leading electric truck tarping systems that ensure safe, efficient load coverage without the need for manual tarping.
What is the best tarping system available?
Our U.S. Tarping System is the very best available system anywhere. It is the safest ground operated tarping system with UL and OSHA approved components. It is the most cost effective one operator system and the robust industrial design requires extremely low maintenance.
Are tarping systems certified?
U.S. Tarping Systems offers annual inspection services to ensure that your Tarping System maintains its optimal level of performance along with OSHA compliance. Inspection services are available for newly purchased systems or for existing U.S. Tarping Systems installations.
How are tarping systems operated?
The driver will roll the tarp out along side the trailer away from the dirt and water the truck just brought into your tarping area, he unrolls the tarp to cover the trailer, then hooks the tarping system straps to the tarp and raises the tarp over and across the load and lowers it on the other side, then disconnects it from the system and the driver is ready to strap the load down or pull out to allow the next truck access to the system.
What is the throughput of a tarping system?
Our U.S. Tarping System has the fastest through-put possible by spreading two tarps at one time using only a one person tarping operation, saving you thousands of dollars every year.
